9:00AM Upper Room Prayer Service | Sundays
You’re invited to join us for pre-service prayer. We pray for our services, our volunteers, our community and for the people who will be in our service. We meet upstairs in the Church Annex (just follow the signs).
9:30AM Bagel Bar & Coffee | Sundays
Our Bagel Bar is a place to relax, enjoy a free Bagelry bagel and a hot cup of coffee before service begins. It’s a place get to know others in our church community. Come early and join us!
10:00AM Worship Service | Sundays
Praise & worship and relevant messages to encourage and inspire you in your walk with God. Nursery, Toddler Class, Kidz Church and youth classes are available.

HLC is a spirit-filled church with a bold vision to see men, women and children of all ages come to know Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior and grow into a strong and thriving relationship with Him. Our church community is comprised of people from all walks of life. Whether your single, married, young or ‘more mature’ you are welcome to come just as you are! Our motto is, “We know no strangers, only friends we haven’t met yet” and we look forward to meeting you.

We meet in our Main Sanctuary, located at 2008 17th Avenue, Santa Cruz, CA.

What Should I Wear?
Everyone is welcome—period. At any time, our members can be seen wearing slacks to blue jeans, t-shirts to button down shirts. Just come as you are.
What Is the Service Like?
We start off with lively praise then slow it down to a more reflective time of worship. Some video announcements follow, along with a time of giving. One of our Pastors preach a timely and relevant message that lasts about 30 minutes. After that, we offer an additional time of worship and prayer where you’ll have opportunity to ask a prayer team member for prayer or just take a few moments reflect on the message and pray on your own.
